Two days of collaboration, patient involvement, and strategic planning for the next phase
On 7–8 May 2025, the Hypermarker consortium came together in Birmingham, United Kingdom, for its Annual Meeting, a dynamic in-person event that brought together project partners from across Europe to reflect, align, and plan forward.Â
Â
Hosted by the University of Birmingham, the two-day programme featured rich discussions across key technical, clinical, and ethical dimensions of the project, including:Â
A co-creation workshop with WP5 and strong Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE)
Updates on the hypertension model and clinical datasets
Insights into health economics and ethics
Development progress on the clinical decision support tool
Deep dives into data harmonisation and metabolomics strategies
Planning for communication, dissemination, and the next project phase
Â
One of the meeting’s highlights was the active participation of patient representatives, who comprised 20% of all attendees, a powerful reflection of Hypermarker’s commitment to meaningful patient involvement throughout the research process.
Â
With strong collaborative energy and productive exchanges, the meeting marked a key step forward in delivering on Hypermarker’s mission to advance personalised hypertension care.
